In 1999, the National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA) set out to create a non-profit charitable organization that would reach out to the horseracing community and beyond. NTRA Charities'* goals are to broaden the scope of community outreach on a national and local level, promote the sport of Thoroughbred horseracing as a civic-minded industry, and increase awareness for the protection of our equine athletes and horsemen.
NTRA Charities creates partnerships with national charities such as the Ronald McDonald House Charities and Thoroughbred industry charities dedicated to helping horses, horse people and civic communities that are home to Thoroughbred racing.
* NTRA Charities is a non-profit, 501(c)3 subsidiary of the National Thoroughbred Racing Association.
